the all in one wallet/phone was such an obvious market angle for samsung, I do not understand how they completely missed the potential in the flip phone's base design. the fold ended up there, but i have to assume that was by pure happenstance, not intentional design.so all these case attempts to fill in the design miss of the Z Fold 3, are just that, putty filling in the holes. it's not the cases' fault that the phone almost but definitely doesn't merge into standard wallet proportions to hold IDs CCs and cash.of all the phone case turned wallet attempts, i think this one is the best overall folded wallet design i've seen that incorporates all the points i was looking for. and it does work, like 2/3s of the way.pro: carabineer/ring combo - i actually missed this was a thing in the description and photos, and it's easily my favorite feature. clip that bad boy to my belt loop and go! even when my pant pockets are too small, i can still go hands free. and ultimately, that's what my desire for the Z Flip 3 & wallet case are all about. hands free as much as possible.that's kinda where the pros end. yes, it works as a wallet... kinda. yes, it works as a phone case... kinda. yes, the whole thing will fold up and fit in a pocket... kinda. thus why it's like 2/3 of a good idea. it almost does everything you want it to, almost. and most of the almost isn't the fault of the case, but the base phone design. in 3-4 generations I expect the phone will be slim enough that when folded inside a wallet, it will not make the wallet ungainly thick to shove into even a woman's pant pocket. in 3-4 generations I expect samsung will have widened the phone slightly as the narrowness is a constant oddness in the hand, no matter how long I've owned it. so it will fit CCs and IDs more adroitly.as to the cons of the case's actual manufacturethe big con is the material choice. it's plastic. it's unequivocally plastic. it feels like plastic, it grips like plastic, and it tears like plastic. but the unforgivable problem with it being plastic, is that your CCs and IDs are plastic... which it absolutely will not let go of when you try to pull them out of the very tight pockets. and you want the pockets tight so your cards and ids don't accidentally go flying out. so a different material needed to be chosen that would hold the plastic cards, but also allow them to be pulled out without looking like you're trying to wrestle with the thing every single time you go to remove them. the first thing I did upon receiving the case was to shove absolutely everything I had into the pockets and leave them there for days in order to stretch out the pockets as much as possible just so they could actually be used easily.the second and third cons are the actual phone holding portions of the case. they don't hold the phone. at all. i ended up putting double sided sticky tape in each hard case half. otherwise every time i opened the case one side or the other slid away from the phone. this combined with the magnets make actually using the phone as a phone incredibly frustrating. you can't just open the case and start using the phone, you have to futz with the magnetic flap, and the hard cases, and get everything aligned correctly so that it all fits together in your hand.so yeah, overall, I don't think I could have found a better wallet case, and that speaks well to the design of this case. but it's still only 2/3 of a good idea.
