I've tried many a dress shoe and keep ocming back to Rockport. Above all, they're comfortable, and the Macudam is no exception. The Adidas insert is quite comfortable (if you'll excuse the branding gimmick) and the interior is lined in a soft, blue leather (on the black exterior pair). The sole is rubber and provides plenty of grip and traction.The Macudam is also quite stylish without being over the top. If you're trying to look good but blend in, this is the perfect style.Finally, the pricing is good even at MSRP. However with a little deal hunting, you should be able to find a significant discount. Happy shopping.These are among the most comfortable dress shoes I've ever worn. Two small down-sides: (1) The shoe is a bit big, relative to other brands' size 11, and (2) There's a slight squeak when I walk on any slick surface (tile, for example); this might go away as the shoes get worn in, but it's still happening after wearing the shoes for a few days.This was another great Rockport purchase...of a smart business shoe. Compared with what I can get in Australia, the price and range of Rockport shoes on Amazon is what got me investigating. I finally made the purchase...had to wait about 3 weeks for them to arrive...but it was worth the wait! I love my new Rockports. They are light, they look good for business and as expected they are SO comfortable...right from the start!...no blisters...no bandaides. I knew my size so that helped. One thing I will advise is that because they have a fairly pronounced pointy toe they are a tad longer than I had expected. Still love the shoes and would definitely recommend them!And is stylishI'm on my second pair of these.My first pair where size 8 and felt pretty spot-on size wise.8 wasn't available when I tried to buy another pair, so I took a risk on a size 7.5 which also seem (after 3 weeks) to be a great fit.I have a lot of trouble with the outside edges of my heels wearing out. I recently destroyed a pair of Hush Puppies in a month (I do a lot of walking in my job).The soles on these are as hard wearing as any I can remember ever owning. My last pair were still okay after 5 months (sole wise) and it was only because they started looking scruffy on the uppers that I decided to bin them (more down to me not looking after them than anything else).Did I mention they are comfortable? They are. Even more so than my Merrell walking shoes. I have pretty wide feet too, so it's amazing that a shoe of this design is still comfortable for me.You can see what they look like for yourself. I really like the style, but it won't be for everyone.The only downside are the laces. My first pair snapped after about 4 months and I wasn't able to find a replacement which matched exactly. It wasn't a huge deal and not enough to knock a star off.To sum up, these are the best "formal" shoes I've ever owned. They are comfy and very hard wearing.Oh, and at about £33 they are a stupendous bargain. Just ordered pair number three!Amazon have hopefully sorted out the size issue, I ordered a 9.5, and got a 9.5UK/44EUR. so Happy. I suffer from pain in the arch, but these are so generously sized, I had room for a gel insole, so added to the adiprene, and these have eased the pain immensely, and look very smart. The colour in the photo is faithful to real life, and goes well with any suit. The soles are grippy without being heavy, overall, very pleased.I was a bit hesitant to order shoes on-line, but gave it a go and what a great buy they proved to be.+ The shoes are very well packed and nicely stuffed to keep their shape.+ The look of the shoe from above is very nice: elegant & slim, but yet they fit my foot very well.+ Immediate comfort - they do not need to be broken in.+ Superb value for [...] (I have only worn worn them once, so cannot speak to their longevity, but have never had issues before on this front with Rockport shoes).I normally have difficulty with shoes not fitting the width, or if I go up a size moving around too much. As such I was quite wary of buying online without being able to try them on first. These however were perfect, fitting comfortably straight out of the box. Will certainly look for similar when I next need a pair of shoes.Good looking shoe, very comfortable, nice finishing outside and inside. But be careful with the size. I bought a EU 41, I received that number, but looks like a EU 41,5.Don’t buy to the summer. It’s a warm shoe.Overall it’s a very good shoe, at a very good price.
